This page provides an overview of how these communities engage through official correspondence, faculty appearances in Washington, and policymaker appearances on campus. Members of both communities — Duke faculty, staff, students, alumni and friends; and policymakers, Congressional and agency staff, and other government-related professionals —  can also find guidance and information on ways to become more involved in the intersection between Duke and the federal government.

*Duke University Resources: This new site provides information relevant to federal changes, resources and a frequently asked questions section to continue updating the Duke community about what the university is doing. It requires a netid to access.

White House Presidential Actions: This site run by the White House serves as a hub for all of the actions taken by President Donald Trump including Executive Orders, clarifications and other memoranda.

*myRESEARCHpath: This site is a university-wide roadmap designed to guide personnel through the research project life cycle at Duke University and Duke Health. It consolidates resources from over 40 research support offices to support all roles involved in research, including faculty, staff, students and trainees.

NASFAA Student Aid Reference Desk: The Student Aid Reference Desk (Ref Desk) is a centralized, searchable hub for financial aid regulations, legislation, and expert resources, designed to be intuitive and easy to navigate. Maintained by the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA), it offers regularly updated links to official guidance, policy analysis, and educational resources to support student access and success in higher education.

*Duke Visa Services: Visa Services monitors and interprets immigration laws and policies to support the university’s international students, scholars and employees, ensuring compliance while maximizing flexibility and benefit for both Duke and the individuals. The office collaborates with faculty, government agencies and other institutions to secure visas, advise on employment options and advocate for policies that promote international exchange.

Immigration Policy Tracking Project: The Immigration Policy Tracking Project (IPTP) is a comprehensive, searchable database documenting every known Trump administration immigration policy, including source documents, policy status, and expert-reviewed analysis. Led by Professor Lucas Guttentag with Stanford and Yale law students, the project aims to preserve and track the scope and evolution of Trump-era immigration actions for public understanding and reform efforts.

NAFSA Current Administration Hub: The National Association of Foreign Student Advisers (NAFSA) is a non-profit professional organization for professionals in all areas of international education including education abroad advising and administration, international student advising, campus internationalization and more. This website timely updates, objective analysis, and association advocacy and resources as we navigate policy changes under the new presidential administration.

*Duke Government Relations DC Digest: The Office of Government Relations’ (OGR) DC Digest is a newsletter sent out on Tuesdays and Fridays containing the latest federal policy news and updates that are of interest to the Duke community.

*Duke Health Government Relations: Duke Health Government Relations is responsible for representing Duke on health-related issues with elected officials and government agencies at the federal level in Washington, D.C. and throughout North Carolina.

AAU Newsroom: This page contains news releases, articles and op-eds, newsletters, and reports from the Association of American Universities (AAU), of which Duke is a member. It tracks a range of policy issues related to university research, higher education, and research universities.

ACE Newsroom: Similar to AAU’s news page, the American Council on Education (ACE), of which Duke is also a member, newspage contains news, press releases and statements about the current landscape of policy of interest to the higher education community.

NACUA Transition Series Tracker: Run by the National Association of College and University Attorneys, this tracker includes not only the above list of presidential actions, but a short description of each and any judicial action taken on that action.
